After finishing with Athens you can opt for an optional Cruise in the Egee Sea. This will cost you around 85 Euros. Here you will be able to visit another three beautiful islands, such as Hydra, Poros and Egina. You can take advantage of the beautiful view and enjoy the warm water of the sea. It is one of the cleanest sea in the world.
Near the Egee Sea you will find the Corinth Canal, which bounds the sea from the Ionic Sea. Here one will be able to visit Epidarus, an antique theater that takes place in open air and has a special acoustic. The next town that come to the mind when being in such a “conquest” is Nafplio – this is a town that is very much alike Venice. From here, one will get to Micene and visit the ruins of the citadel and the Grave of Agamemnon.
The Olympia Olympic Sanctuary is the next in line and the Patras town will come. Patras is a pilgrimage place, where one can see the relics of Saint Andrew and the cross where he was crucified. The Ionic Sea is crossed again from Peloponnese to continental Greece in an impressive bridge that is breathtaking.
At night you can stay in Corfu where one can take a nice warm bath in the sea. The Echelon Palace, made by Queen Elisabeth is an important stop in this journey. From here one will easily get to Kalambaka where you can see handmade icons, visit the suspended Monastery, the Big Metheor and the Varlaam Monastery. The view is spectacular. Still there is the Paraschiev Church to see, a Saint place where the wounds seem to disappear. The next stop is the Parelia Katerini, a very well known resort. It is a place for shopping and for bargaining. Here one can stay longer to enjoy the sun and the treat at low costs.
