Rio de Janeiro. Copacabana Beach
Another very important destination of Rio de Janeiro is Copacabana beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world. The area will be one of the four Olympic Zones in the 2016 Summer Olympics. The place is perfect for those who dream of a cocktail at a beach bar while listening to good music. The beach was built in 1914 and since then hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants were constructed around the promenade, making it an expensive yet very busy tourist paradise. The promenade is for kilometers long and is perfect for a nice relaxing walk or even rollerblading. During the New Year’s Eve there is a really great party on the beach with fireworks and good fun.
Also, there are a lot of hotels along the beach so you can be as close to the attractions as possible.
