There is a problem with some of us, that instead of desiring to go and have some relaxing moments in their holidays, they would rather go somewhere where they can shop. Just spend some days of their lives shopping. A get away from the daily routine is always well received. The European cities are the best place to go for this; they can offer you both cultural and shopping possibilities.
However, we shall take a glance into the well known and beloved Vienna – for shopping, and as well into the capital of the Middle Orient – Dubai. Taking Vienna for a starter you can see that on big commercial streets, in markets that are very crowded and small, in souvenirs shops or in shops that serve all kind of delicacies – the paradise of the shop – alcoholic from Austria is there. These are one of the most attractive places where you can shop, from the entire Austria – and they are found in Vienna. On the various streets from downtown Vienna, you will find a lot of shops that vary from the traditional style to the most exquisite and surprising one. A walk through the Mariahilfer Strasse is recommended, as it is the most known street and the fullest with shops of different styles. Here you will be able to find as well small boutiques that give the starter of the fashion, it is the place where small designers that have not yet been discovered, try their best to make a name.
Anyhow, there are places for those that are interested mainly in jewels and haut – couture. These places are on Korntner Strasse and Ringstrassengalerie Street. These are the high end fashion items and accessories, for those that money is no issue. The walking areas are ideal for those that intend to preserve nice memories about Vienna. As Paris has its Latin Quarter, London has the Notting Hill, Vienna has the Freihaus quarter that is well known by the citizens as well by the tourists. Despite of the fact that it was initially the quarter where poor people used to live, now it is full of elegant restaurants, antiques shops, funky art galleries, fashion boutiques and the biggest DVD and music shop – Alphaville.
As far as the commercial centers concern, there are some we can mention and that are worth visiting – Gasometer – the name derives from what it used to be in its place – four different gas tanks turned out in a shopping center. Another commercial center is Parndorf. It is well known for the variety of clothes it has and the shops that offer discounts throughout the entire period of the year. The shopping Center South is the last stop worth making, which is considered the biggest commercial center from the center of Europe. It has 300 shops and a large variety of products.
After using your energy on shopping, the left energy you can use for a quiet tour at the largest art museum in the world- Kunsthistoriches Museum. You can go on with the Stefansdom Cathedral and the Schonbrunn castle.
